HGV Category C Regional Relief Driver

Location: Harlow Bros, Long Whatton, LE12 5DE

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 39 hours basic Monday to Friday only with no nights out required. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated HGV Category C Regional Relief Driver to join our team in Long Whatton. We this role is based at our Long Whatton Branch but will also be required to cover at our other branches within a 20-mile radius. The role will include driving a mixture of 7.5t, 18T and 26T vehicles. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for customer service and who is confident to work as part of a team and under their own initiative.

What you’ll be doing as HGV Category C Regional Relief Driver:

• Making local deliveries in either a Category C1 (7.5T) or Category C vehicle.
• Ensuring that all products are safely loaded and secured.
• Ensuring loads are correct against the customers’ orders.
• Ensuring delivery is safe to make and respecting customer’s property.
• Provide first class customer service.
• Handle any customer issues on delivery effectively.

Your Skills:

• Full Driving licence for a (Cat C) HGV vehicle with Digi-card and full Driver CPC is essential.
• Fork-lift licence would be an advantage. 
• Hiab Experience preferable but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A flexible approach to work, there is an element of manual offloading required
