Truss Operative

Location: Harlow Timber Systems (Eastern) Ltd, Halstead, CO9 2SZ

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Truss Operative to join our team in Harlow Timber Systems (Eastern) Ltd, Halstead, CO9 2SZ. The Truss Operative will be responsible for producing high-quality trusses for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. This includes reading production paperwork, op

erating specialized machinery, and ensuring trusses are manufactured with precision and structural integrity.

What you’ll be doing as a Truss Operative:

• Assembling trusses according to engineering specifications from production paperwork.
• Operating presses and other equipment used in truss manufacturing.
• Completing daily first use check sheets on equipment and reporting issues or malfunctions.
• Collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements.
• Inspecting finished trusses to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Your Skills:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Counter Balance / Side Loader desired but not essential
